Laws regarding keeping information private?

What is the law that employers must keep information such as SS# and DL# private?
Answer:
Depending on particulars, there is a LAW called BREECH OF CONFIDENTIALITY. If you are talking privately to someone, you can ask for a confidentiality clause. Meaning your discussion is just that CONFIDENTIAL. If there is a breech of confidentiality, you can contact local law and file a BREECH OF CONFIDENTIALITY. This especially holds true to Counselors, Social Workers or any private discussions that covers confidentiality. ALWAYS ASK confidentiality before releasing any confidential information to another individual.
Keep it private, unless it is accidentally lost due to a stolen laptop. In that case, the employers are in general free from continual stringent obligation.
