Leagally, can you have a raise taken away from you?


Answer:
yes. I live in a right to work state. They can do a lot of things.

No.

Talk to the fair labor department, for an employer to dock your check or adjust your pay, they need your consent.

It is against labor laws.
Yes. Easy come; easy go.
I would think yes. You see companies restructuring pay and giving pay cuts more often than raises it seems.
Unless it was put specifically in writing and signed by both you and the company that you would be paid the raised amount for a specified period for doing specific work, it can most certainly be withdrawn...problems relating to budget cuts happen all the time in business.
